A Sound to remember
I began playing the violin at the young age of 4. Ever since then, I have worked on improving my skills. I am now 18 years of age with 14 years of experience under my belt. Ever since a young age, I knew that I wanted to do something with my skills that would benefit others. When I am not teaching violin or playing at different events, I am playing with the worship team at my home church. There is nothing I enjoy doing more than adding the sound of the violin to any event. Throughout my career as a violinist, I have had the privilege of playing in a few different orchestras. I held the title of Concert Master for three years during my time as part of the Texarkana Youth Symphony Orchestra. During this time, I was able to play with and develop a great relationship with the Concert Master of the Texarkana Symphony Orchestra. Aside from this, I was also able to participate in All-Region; which is where all of the violinists in the Southwest Region of Arkansas compete for the top spot in the All-Region Orchestra. I was fortunate enough to maintain that top position for two consecutive years before I graduated. This was also the first time in history that a violinist from Arkansas Junior High and Arkansas High had achieved such a position. I could not have done this without the help of many great mentors who taught me how to be a performer and more importantly a professional. My more recent achievements include performing at various events such as weddings and parties, teaching at Arkansas Middle School and Arkansas High School, and offering lessons to students.
